Trainee Developer

We are currently seeking trainee developers to compliment our existing support team for our travel software division. Our ideal candidate MUST have some experience in Perl, PHP, Python or Ruby programmer or similar development language from any background, university, college, home or commercial. We provide 24 hour support, so you need to be willing to work both day and night shifts, based in our Head Office in East Kilbride. We deal with more code (3 million lines and counting) and more data (hundreds of millions of rows) than you've likely come across before, but if that sounds like fun, this is the place for you.

Some knowledge of Linux or other flavour of UNIX would be a plus, as this is what our whole platform runs on. Some database experience is definitely advantageous, MySQL especially. And as you will dealing with customers and we pride ourselves on good service, good communication skills are key. Finally, you'll need a willingness to learn. Almost everything we do is likely to be new to you, and you should be ready for a challenge.

Senior Developer

Linux Systems Administrator

We are currently seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a web-hosting environment, and must have a wide array of skills, including networking (firewall configurations, routers, cabling, maintenance), programming (Perl and shell scripting), server configuration (Apache, Gearman, MySQL, unix account management, Debian package management) and also be willing to work flexible hours to suit our 24 hour business needs.

You will be responsible for remotely maintaining our network of hosted web and database servers, as well as our internal IT infrastructure in our two offices in the UK (East Kilbride and Measham). Monitoring servers for problems, producing reports, installing and upgrading packages, maintaining PCI security policies, and improving processes and performance will just be some of the tasks involved in this multifaceted position.

Traveltek Australia Ltd - Manager, Projects & Client Services (Projects $100k - $1m)

Due to continued growth and International expansion, Traveltek, a global leader in travel software systems are seeking professionals to join the existing service delivery team. Candidates with a certified Project background would find these skills a good grounding for the position, but the depth of the role stretches much further than this. In addition to project management accreditation, we seek individuals with good client facing skills, a high work ethic with a thirst for knowledge together with determination to succeed. You must be driven.

Each Traveltek installation is unique, requiring project management skills, training techniques, hands-on configuration to tune the system to client needs, product knowledge and general business consultancy. The team are very much client facing, involved with product scoping testing and delivery for bespoke functionality.

Traveltek clients stretch across the globe but this role is specifically for the Asia Pacific region, based out of our new offices in North Sydney. Our rapidly growing clients already include Australia’s largest travel businesses and we need you to help us. This is not a position for the faint hearted, it is different, it is busy, it is intense, it is challenging and each person could be handling several clients simultaneously. It has opportunities; it is exciting, dynamic and rewarding for the right person.

The salary range covers a broad spectrum and the successful candidate will benefit from a competitively based salary starting from circa $64,000 to $110,000 subject to suitability and comes with a incentive package, inclusive car contribution payment, private health care and much, much more.
